Poppy EXPLOSION and a time-lapse video!

So, my first time lapse video! I began dabbling using the ‘live’ broadcast on Facebook, which I really enjoyed, but I couldn’t do an entire painting that way. Therefore, I had to come up with another idea. Obviously a widely used tool is the time-lapse video and I really wanted to join the gang! So after a little research (I just love google) I found a wonderful inexpensive app. I was lucky enough to borrow a tripod from a fabulous friend of mine Alexa Kidd-May, who just so happens to be a wonderful photographer, and off I went.

As I thought, seeing a painting emerging from the canvas, is something that people genuinely find interesting, as do I.

I chose my current favourite subject of wild flowers and got on with the sky. I love painting skies, sunny blue skies with a small amount of cloud are such an uplifting subject and then to add in beautiful wild flowers is just the cherry on the cake, so to speak!

Fortunately, the painting went well and the whole process was easy. I find finger painting to be a complete joy anyway, so it’s easy to get lost in the painting process. I posted the finished edited version onto Facebook, then later on YouTube, which is a first for me!

Slowly, slowly, I hope to add more videos onto my channel and gather an interest into my work. Now I need to start planning my next project.
